My Little Jeep Ride Today

I wanted to get out of the house today, and the roads are mostly clear of snow, so i went for a little ride in the Jeep just to get outside so I didn't get too stir crazy. My ride looked something like this.

The Four Seasons

So, I'm trying to figure out when Winter will be over, but somehow, I made it this far and don't really have a clear picture of what dates the seasons change. So, for 2023, in the Northern hemisphere, the seasons look like this:

"Winter takes place during the coldest three months of the year, summer in the hottest three months, and spring and fall mark the remaining transition months. In the Northern Hemisphere, for 2023, that means the start date for each season is:

So, for 2023, Spring starts on March 20th (so that's roughly 3 weeks).

19th Snow

So, we're forecast to get snow after midnight tonight (so technically tomorrow (2/22/23) ), and then it should snow all day (until like 9:00 pm tomorrow night, anyway).

Reportedly we should get 3" - 6". Something like that. The yardstick in the front yard shows that we have 9" left over from previous snows. Also, I emptied the snow tray in the front yard so we can see how much we get.

Update: 11:00 a.m. Wed 2/22/2023. The snow tray looks like we got 2" of snow last night. Yard stick shows 10" (includes accumulation from previous snows).. We may still get more snow this afternoon/evening.

Update: 8:00 a.m. Thr 2/23/2023. The snow tray now shows 3" of snow and the Yard Stick shows 11". Not supposed to get any more snow for a week or so. So, I'm calling the 19th Snow at 3".

18th Snow

So, we're forecast to get snow tonight/tomorrow (2/14-2/15). Reportedly we should get 5" - 10". Something like that. The yardstick in the front yard shows that we have 9" left over from previous snows. I emptied the snow tray in the front yard so we can see how much we get.

It started snowing at about 8:00 pm on 2/14/2023.

Update: By 11:00 am on 2/15/2023, we had 6 1/2" of snow in the snow tray in front yard. The yardstick in the front yard is showing about 15 1/2". So, it looks like we've got about 6 1/2" from this storm so far, but it's also still snowing.

Update 2: By 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday 2/15/2023, looks like the snow settled a little bit. The snow tray in the front yard shows 6" and the yardstick in the front yard shows 15" (was 9" before this last snow 2/14 - 2/15).

Current Gamecam

I haven't used the gamecam in a while, so I dug around and found it eventually. I'm thinking this is my current gamecam model. Looks like it's a Stealth-Cam Model STC-G30. So, I charged up the batteries. That's good. Now, to deal with the memory card. Need to wipe it clean and start over. Also need to set the date/time.

It says "memory card full". Let's see if I can copy them off somewhere.

OK. Got the files copied off onto macbook air. Now, let's set the date/time on this thing.
