Bird Spotted Today on Evergreen Lake, Evergreen, Colorado

Today, Jen and I were walking around Evergreen Lake and we spotted a bird swimming on the surface of the lake, but I was not clear what type of bird it was. We did not see it fly, and we did not see it dive. It was just paddling along on the surface of the lake.
