Growing Crabapple Trees from Seeds

I have a crabapple tree in my front yard which the deer love. Bud indicated that he wanted to get some crabapple trees growing in his yard, so I figured I'd collect some seeds and see if I could get them to sprout, so we'd have more crabapple trees in the hood. Today, I found this article which gives some advice on how to incubate them. Tomorrow, I'll try to collect some more seeds before the snow hits us on Friday 12/31/2021.
