Consolidated Map(s) of the 2014 Alaska Trip

I'm trying to do a better job of mapping out my trip so I can put it into perspective. Google Maps only allows me to do 9 stops, so I've broken the trip into 3 maps.

Map 1 : Days 1-9 : Evergreen, Colorado to Fort St John, B.C., Canada. Local copy here.

Map 2 : Days 9-18 : Fort St John, B.C., Canada to Fairbanks, Alaska. Local copy here.

Map 3 : Days 18-28 : Fairbanks, Alaska to Evergreen, Colorado. Local copy here.

Hi Rob,

looked at your blog for the first time in a couple of months. Wow, what a trip. Would love to hear more about it in person. I have not forgotten about our invite to you. Do you have any pictures of the Arctic ocean? I have not seen any on the blog. Hope all is well.

Aha. OK, Enrico. I see what happened. On the day when I went to the Arctic Ocean, I didn't post any pics that day. The reason is because at the camps in Deadhorse and in Coldfoot, Alaska, we only had satellite internet access, which is expensive, and tediously slow. Also, the Dalton Highway was a grueling road. We drove 180 miles in the freezing rain (37 degrees F) down a mud road. Then, I would have to stay up until 3:00 a.m. to get my pics/story updated, etc. So, on some days, I didn't post any photos. They're all on my MacBook Air. I'll start copying them over to my network. Thanks for pointing this out. I'll get some up here shortly. :)

Stories without pics.
I too noticed their absence.
Internet orphans.

Much like my haiku

Alone, unacknowledged.

OK TL...Now I get the Haiku. I was sort of clueless. I recognized your initials, but assumed you were on meth or something. Now, I get it. I'm slow, OK? I've been on the road for a long time. I wake up and don't know what country I'm in. It's very confusing for me. I'm now going back and putting comments below my photos, and attempting to re-order them in the correct order for each day. (In some cases, they were sorted out of order within a given day, due to the fact that I was shooting multiple cameras and not renaming based on date-time-stamp in EXIF data). I will add new photos shortly. I'm currently going backwards in time, labeling photos starting with the most recent. I'm now working on Day 19. :P
