Colorado Highway 103

Saw these cars driving up and down Colorado Highway 103 today. This is an experimental prototype from Detroit. Not that unusual to see prototypes driving up the Highest Paved Road in North America to Mt Evans, or up to Pike's Peak. They generally want to see how they'll perform at high altitude, and this is a good place to test them. My understanding is they were checking to see how the turbo performs about 4,000 meters (12,000 ft). So, at 14,265' above sea level, they've got plenty of mountain to play with.

We saw several of these vehicles...at least 6. My understanding is that this is a prototype from Mercedes-AMG. But you didn't hear it from me...
