Great Horned Owlet

Yesterday, when I brought Jennifer home from the airport, we stopped to check on the Great Horned Owl nest and, for the first time this year, I spotted a baby owl. The owlet is snow white and appears to be covered in down. The baby was eating something when I spotted him. I snapped a few Bigfoot/UFO quality photos of the baby, but you can see the little bugger if you look closely. It's the white little furry thing behind the momma owl.

Nice picture. Thank you for putting these up. I don't usually know what the flowers are (with a few exceptions) but I can usually identify the birds, and its nice to know there's a site I can go to that tends to have a lot of neat pictures without ads or popups.

(I'm not the only one around here who needs pretty pictures or a good book or whatever to de-stress after a week with a heavy workload. Although my peers usually use webcomics, cute overload or the lolcat site.)
