GoogleUpdate.exe
I could not kill this stupid TSR named GoogleUpdate.exe. I tried to stop it with Codestuff Starter. No dice. Tried running MSCONFIG to turn it off. No dice. Tried uninstalling Google Update and Chrome. Still no dice. Finally, I figured out that the b@st@rds have set up two scheduled tasks on my computer to make sure it's running all the time - GoogleUpdateTaskMachine and GoogleUpdateTaskUser.
Finally, I looked at the properties of the scheduled tasks and found that they were executing the following:
C:\Documents and Settings\Rob\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Update\GoogleUpdate.exe
This is after I uninstalled Google Update. And Chrome. I think that we're done here, Google. Thanks for playing. You fvcked me, but it won't happen again. Fool me one, shame on you... ;)
