Three cute baby porcupines?
Someone sent me this email of three "cute baby porcupines". I'll give you they're cute. But they're not porcupines. They're hedgehogs. This is what a baby porcupine looks like. This is what a baby hedgehog looks like.
Interestingly, if you do a google image search on "baby porcupines", you get this same photo about 10-20 times. Only they're clearly not porcupines.
This is possibly the greatest weakness of the internet. The verification seems to be somewhat sketchy, even on something as obvious as the difference between a porcupine and a hedgehog. If the internet can't be trusted to get something this simple right, how can we trust it to be accurate on more important matters?
