Stellarium - Free planetarium for your computer
Stellarium is a free open source astronomy/planetarium program for your computer. It shows a realistic sky in 3D, just like what you see with the naked eye, binoculars or a telescope. It is being used in planetarium projectors. Just set your coordinates and go.
There's another similar program called Winstars.
Yet another free software program called Celestia that shows planets and stars and allows you to pick a star in the sky and fly there.
