Jeb Bush in 2008

I'm getting downright nauseated at the thought of Hillary Clinton running on the Socialist Party ticket in 2008. I've been following the Blogs Against Hillary website, which calms me down a little. It's good to know that not everyone on Earth has forgotten how she tried to turn the United States into a nation of serfs with her 'Eat The Rich' HillaryCare campaign for socialized medicine when she was riding high on Bill's coattails.

I got to wondering about who would run against her in 2008. Not that she'll be hard to beat, because us dolts in flyover country aren't about to allow that deeply stupid little spiv into the Oval Office.

But who will the Republicans put against her? Then it hits me. What about Jeb? He's the governor of Florida. By all accounts, he's smarter than G.W. And I'm thinking, 'this is the guy for the job'. So, where's Jeb? Come on now, son. It's time to step up to the plate. Someone's got to run against that welfare queen in 2008, and you're the perfect man for the job. What do we need to do, start a petition?

But who will the Republicans put against her?

Governor Bill Owens. His term-limited term ends in 2007. You heard it here first (unless you read the third post at http://www.reason.com/hitandrun/2005/08/new_at_reason_686.shtml a few minutes ago. Reader Phil notes that "I'm willing to wager, say, $100 that sometime prior to 2007, Cheney's heart problems will suddenly become significant enough for him to retire, allowing Bush to appoint a new veep that's a mortal lock for a 2008 win." Owens would be a good choice to replace Cheney.)

As Tim Cavanaugh points out, (1) Hillary isn't likable, (2) she's a Senator, and a sitting Senator hasn't won the presidency since John Kennedy in 1960 (or Warren Harding in 1920 if you count legitmate elections). Four of the last five presidents were governors (Carter, Reagan, Clinton, and Bush II). The last two sitting senators to run for president lost (Bob Dole and John Kerry).

Hmmm. Very interesting. I like the idea of having Cheney step down to bring in a new VP to run as an incumbent. But I personally don't think Bill Owens has the name recognition necessary to win the election. I don't understand why Jeb isn't the guy.

Really still? You guys still support Bush? I can't wait until 2008 when we The Pinko's will rise and systematically gayify the American Public. The stars will be turned to triangles and the stripes, a rainbow! We will force straight men to marry gay men! We will ban all pro sports except the very homo-erotic game of foot ball. We will make July fourth the national We love the French day! Children will be taught Satanism in school and that dinosaurs are not Jesus horses. Fox news and the Osse bastard that run it will be sent to guantanimo bay and we will make Sadam Hussein governor of Texas. Were coming out slapping in 2008, be ready!!!!!!!

Jeb Bush would be the perfect candidate for the job. He's probably the best republican governor and he would be a lot better then his brother is now, and I'm a huge Bush supporter. Jeb is better at speeches than his brother. and now he has more experiance in politics then his brother before he got to the white house. Jeb is the perfect candidate for the job. And this knowing that the democrates will cheap shot him with his family issues. Everybody has issues.

Jeb Bush for 2008!!!!
