The Old Man and the Sea

I have to say that, after going back and re-reading The Old Man and the Sea, it's easily as tedious as I remembered, if not more so. I'm not sure why he won an award for this book, but I'm not reading any more of his stories. They don't do anything for me.

May I suggest The Sea Runners by Ivan Doig? If you go to Alaska on your bike, this will also give you some history. It is a great story.

I just ready the girl with the dragon tattoo series. I liked it a lot. You'd like the title character. OLD man sounds like an Anne Rice novel. I tried to read one, never again.
