Pit Bull vs. Porcupine photos

It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog. This is a photo of a Terrier that got into an altercation with a porcupine. A Pit Bull Terrier, to be exact. Here's the other photo.

I think it says a lot about a Pit Bull. A Pit Bull knows that you can never walk away from a fight. Never back down. Never surrender. Never say die. You may look at this photo and think the dog got the worst of the fight, but we haven't seen the photo of the porucpine. I seriously doubt he survived the encounter. The Pit Bull believes in victory at all costs. If you look closely, you can see his eye peeking through the quills. I bet anything he's thinking "What are you looking at? You see something funny? You wanna make something of it?"

Update: According to Snopes, the original post of these photos is here. Apparently, the porcupine lived. Go figure.

A Bull Terrier, appearantly. Spuds McKinzee to the uninitiated, but not a Pit Bull (American Staffordshire Terrier), the companion dog to the Little Rascals.

Actually, the term "Pit Bull" is used to describe a variety of dogs, including the American Staffordshire Terrier. But your point is valid. People do use the generic term "Pit Bull" to describe various breeds.

Correction, referring to porcupine: "It didn't walk away from this one I'm afraid." Dog won. While getting that mess, I can imagine the dog thinking that if it has gone through that much, it might as well finish the thing off. Or every qwill just made it madder and madder. :)

I didn't think the porcupine survived either, but the person that originally posted the photos and owns the dog indicates the porcupine lived, and was later tested for rabies.

The pictures here really do just prove that these dogs are mindless. If you ever needed proof of how stupid dogs are, here it is! Forget the never give up bullcrap, this animal is just plain dumb.

Forget the never give up bullcrap? why that is what has been bred into the dogs 4 1000's of yrars, dumb has just put the reply above me! (look up the word GAME)

You are a judgemental person, huh? Just bc its a terrier you think the dog killed it. You are the reason these family pets are being banned in cities. I rescue you pit bulls and i think you are part of the problem with the ban and judgement about this breed. Educate yourself and hang out with some pits and then get back to me.

I am sorry for that dogs, they are like the serial killers temp, animals based in adrenaline reactions above the mind abilities, not that stupid as the people whos don't do anything to keep safe that little doggies

So what, because one white person is stupid that means they all are?? Thats what people are doing when they see a "pit bull" do something stupid. They automatically assume that every dog of that "breed" is exactly the same. I have an am staff and she is wonderful - she loves people, especially children, and other animals. So do your research before you create prejudices.
And oh, by the way, many am staffs or "pit bulls" are often used as therapy dogs, so I guess they can't be ALL terrible.

First show proof that this dog is a Pit Bull
before you say it is.

This dog is a Bull Terrier.

Totally different than a Pit Bull.

The Bull Terriers are not stupid....they just do not feel pain like most dogs. We have two of them and they are one of the best dogs we have ever owned. They are funny little clowns who are loyal and devoted pets.

to all the confused and uneducated, A BULL TERRIER OR ENGLISH BULL TERRIER, WHICH IS THE DOG IN THE PIC, IS NOT THE SAME AS A PITBULL TERRIER. english bull terriers are not naturally violence prone, or aggressive toward humans at all. they actually are very friendly toward people and especially children, and are very protective of children. they are usually docile, playful and make great companions for people.
